Sturm Enrich Story

No, it isn’t Sturm Enrich’s life story, but a brief description of her health crisis and, eventually, her “miraculous” recovery.

Health Crisis

Sturm Enrich became afflicted with a common condition: appendicitis. Experiencing pain so severe that it inhibited physical movement and coming from a family of physicians, she knew that hers was a medical emergency requiring urgent surgical intervention. Instead, the physician she saw sent her home with a prescription for antibiotics. As a result, she suffered a burst appendix and severe peritonitis. She’s been through two operations (one botched and one corrective), ICU, and a long fight with sepsis.

After a few weeks, Sturm Enrich was released from the hospital. Once home, she realized that she’s not only bald and disabled but wasting away. (She was unable to digest any food and was experiencing catastrophic weight loss.) Continued medical care wasn’t helpful.

That’s an abbreviated and sterilized version of the story, which had several horrifying highlights. The “highlights” challenged Sturm’s faith in modern medicine and the healthcare system as such.

At the lowest point, it became clear to her that unless she took her health into her own hands, she’d be doomed. Since her family members (physicians) are diseased and she herself isn’t a physician and couldn’t write prescriptions for herself, her only recourse was to research nutraceuticals (foods and nutritional supplements with therapeutic/healing properties). It took a long time, but she did, and successfully so. Consequently, she used nutraceuticals to heal herself. Nutraceuticals accomplished what modern medicine couldn’t. Sturm isn’t disabled. She recovered fully.

Ever since, Sturm Enrich knows the healthcare system we trust so much is far from perfect and shouldn’t be trusted blindly. (We, the patients, are entitled to some health autonomy and have alternative ways of helping ourselves.)

What did she learn from her ordeal?

Ultimately, Sturm Enrich learned that survival is an inside job. Real life-saving or life-changing help comes from within. There is no substitute for self-confidence, perseverance, and self-reliance.

Her experience with the burst appendix and the aftermath of it forced her to reexamine her beliefs and values. She went from being a staunch believer in modern healthcare to a skeptic.

Her philosophy

Never give up! Search for alternative solutions. Trust yourself!

Why is she using her skills and experience to advocate and teach?

Sturm Enrich isn’t, and doesn’t claim to be, a medical professional. She is a self-taught nutraceuticals expert.
She knows from her own experience that the BUSINESS of healthcare can – under some circumstances – be as dangerous as any life-threatening disease. She’s writing to share her experience and knowledge of nutraceuticals to spare you from becoming the next victim of the healthcare industry.
